I still get a “We can’t verify your subscription status.” message. Indeed, the app doesn’t have access to internet, so how could it ? So why does it even ask ? It seems like the Adobe Zii 2021 6.1.6 that comes with it just doesn’t work. I tried Zii 7, and same issue.

SOLUTION!! I have found a solution, and I think it will work for all the apps in this website. First, open that dmg file. Copy the extra folder to desktop. Then, open terminal. Instead of the command shown above, type this instead: xattr -cr ~/Desktop/Extra/Install.app . This will remove the attribute for this file and anything inside it that tell mac that this is an unauthorized file. This command marks this file to be bypassed. After that, open the “extra” folder in finder. Click on Install.app. this time it shouldn’t say anything. If it does, don’t close that dialog. go to “system preferences” and click on “security”, there you might see it says “Open anyway” button. Click on that and if required relaunch “Install.app”. After installation is over, don’t open anything yet. Click on the orignial .dmg file once more, and this time run the red colored app on the left. There is a button that will say “Patch or Drag”, click on that. It will ask for root permission, just enter your account password. It will successfully patch, and test run your lightroom software. It worked for me!! I got version 10.3 DOn’t forget to add this app to the firewall list. You can google how to do that yourself.
