The Rush Hour Update
Welcome, all! We’re delighted to share with you our latest update to Mini Motorways, which includes:
- Fast forward mode, for when rush hour isn’t fast enough for you.
- Updates to the game balance across all maps.
- More space between buildings to make it easier to connect destinations.
- New motorways visuals, disconnected building alerts, and indicators for when buildings appear offscreen.
- Improved options for our colorblind players.
- Updated menus and in-game UI.

I was getting the ‘Mini Motorways is damaged and can’t be opened’ error on macOS. After some troubleshooting, I fixed it by resetting the app permissions. I ran the following command in Terminal:
xattr -cr /Applications/Mini\ Motorways.app
xattr -cr /Applications/Mini\ Motorways.app
helped me. thanks for the fix.
Won’t work on silicon M chip Macs for some reason. Found a solution to get the game working on M2 Mac’s though…. download ‘Whiskey’ [https://getwhisky.app] and download a Windows version of Mini Motorways. Open the exe game file via Whiskey and you’re good to go… Works perfectly.
crashes as soon as opening on M1 max 2021 macbook pro, Ventura 13.5
